Summer: Leon and Victoria
Victoria and Leon had their differences. Most of the time they could work through them, but after their argument about what Hydra did to Ladon for revenge made it difficult to want to talk to him. They still conversed over lunch, but the civil conversation was poorly disguising the tension between the two of them. Sometimes it was Leon that excused himself and other times it was Victoria. Despite what Leon said about Hydra being his family, Victoria saw the coven as her family. Maybe she could have had an easier time with all of this had it been a prank taken too far, but it was revenge. Plain and simple and he did not deny it. His logic flawed but he'd deny how flawed it was.
Leon was always right or something. Or that's the impression he kept giving her Telling her to watch out for James and then sarcastically replying when she said she'd dealt with boys like James before. Yes, so many differences, but more recently it felt like he was treating her like some ignorant child. Hydra had their pride, but so did Ladon.
The dance was the first thing she was really looking forward to and when Leon looked at her, she didn't just blow him off as she might have. In the end, Leon had been there through hard times. She was angry at him, but she couldn't just cut him off. He'd been the first real friend she had there. Maybe that's why she felt so angry at him.
Dressed stylish but classy, she had spent most of the night so far with James and a few others, breaking away from her date to dance with the brave boy who asked for one. Leon didn't ask though. Not with words. Instead he used a glance and then an offered hand. Victoria said nothing, but she took his hand, allowing him to lead her to the dance floor. Victoria had been trying to teach him how to dance, and while she wasn't the best teacher, he made up for her difficulty in that by being naturally good.
As they began to dance, she didn't really look at him, she moved along with the music. There were things Victoria wanted to ask Leon, but at the same time she felt like he wouldn't answer. Whenever she began to ask questions that were personal, Leon shut up. He told her he didn't want to talk about it. She also didn't want to speak of what caused their previous arguments, because honestly, she really didn't want to argue.
She finally settled on, "I'm surprised you came to the dance."
