The djinni smiled at her date. "You do not owe me anything," she assured him, "I too have been distracted by many things lately, and it is possible that I have not been handling with my problems in the most healthy manner as well." Or perhaps she was managing them in a somewhat healthy manner. She wasn't sure yet. She knew how she felt, but she also knew that exclusiveness was something that seemed to be in high value at this school.
She wondered if she should simply tell him, or if perhaps she should wait for a moment to present itself. She didn't want to lie or manipulate Adrian, so she would have to tell him before the day was over. Her dream would be to have him and Alicia both, but she would need to allow them the choice.
