Thread: Bring the Beer
WHO: Jack Cavanaugh and Micah Kaden
WHEN: Saturday night
WHERE: The Raconteur
Kaden was still enjoying being back at St. Margaret's, and he didn't think it would wear off any time soon. Being an instructor as opposed to a student, and a were as opposed to a witch, were making it a whole new experience. Still, the students often had the tendency of stretching even Kaden's patience level, and it was nice to, at the end of the week with the regular school semester fast approaching, to go out and have a drink with another adult.
He and Jack had gotten along since Kaden arrived. The Banshee was a sarcastic fuck, and Kaden enjoyed giving as good as he got, often letting out his full bellied laugh that had the tendency of being felt as well as heard. The broad shouldered man and the more slender man arrived at The Raconteur and took up their usual table. As usual, students who had left campus to go play at being responsible adults in a bar, were avoiding their eyes and some even scattered from the establishment, afraid of being caught drinking under age.
Kaden chuckled as he settled in the bench, wedged between the table and the back of the long wooden seat with his back to the wall and one leg stretched out in front of him. "Never gets old," he commented, bringing the cold brew to his lips for a drink. Kaden's red flannel shirt was one of his usual, so were the well loved denim pants he had on, and his boots, large things like a logger might wear, looked like they had trekked through the forest more times than a street. The leather jacket was a staple, and one of Kaden's ways of 'dressing up' a bit to go outside the Academy grounds.
Wiping foam off his beard, Kaden looked across at Jack and lifted an eyebrow, "So. Is tonight the night, Jack?" Saturday nights, Kaden always tried to get Jack to participate in the open mic, convinced he could lure the Banshee on stage to recite something, sing something, or otherwise wow the audience with his vast experience and, of course, not to mention his excellent voice.
