Connor still didn't know what to make of Methos arriving on the island, he'd be lying if he said he didn't have mixed emotions over it. Having another immortal about was a good thing, but why did it have to be Methos? The only other one of their kind he trusted completely was Duncan, but that was a special case. He walked into the bar and draped his jacket over what he'd already come to think of as 'his' chair.
There was no sense of another immortal yet, but it wouldn't be long before he sensed the other's quickening. If Methos was telling the truth then he was coming from around the same time that Duncan found out about the Horsemen and the whole sad story came to light. Duncan had always been more principled than himself, and looked at things in a much more black and white point of view. Connor had come of age before the Reformation and had already travelled extensively before hearing of Duncan, so he looked at things with a much more jaundiced eye and was a bit more understanding of the older immortal's past than his younger kinsman.
He'd no sooner put a Belhaven Stout to his lips than he felt the tingling sensation of another immortal nearby.
