Abi leant back, a little relieved to have gotten it out. She realised how much she missed him like this, in this time. He was happier, easier to talk to and easier to love. She smiled a little easier too; "You don't have to apologise. I shouldn't have asked you to leave, I was just kinda... shocked to see you here and there was Charlie and the baby wasn't here. I know you're not like that yet, so..."
She fiddled with the monitor, "I could understand the women, the drink. You never argued in front of the kids, never even drank until they were in bed. I haven't lost hope in you, I just needed a break."
