Right, discomfort. More like the feeling of her ab muscles being yanked out through her back. She couldn't lax her grip off his shoulder until the wave passed, but once it had, she still held on. With both hands.
"Like this would go any other way," she ground out, not in pain for the moment but recovering from it. Plus preparing for more. At least she could say this wasn't the first time she'd been on the receiving end of repeated ...well, torture, but with distinctly different results. Hopefully she wouldn't have to kill someone before this was over.
