Thomas was quite pleased with the outcome of the conversation. He did not like the idea of Edith being in any kind of danger. He pushed over the two other wheels, one after the other. When they were safely stored in the hall, the axe was collected from the workshop. On his way back there was a moment when he almost felt like he could hear a voice. He quickened his step, feeling as if there was someone following him with his eyes.
"Edith, I've got the axe," he stated as he returned to the hall. "It will be warm soon."
