Edith decided it was best to concede his point; horses would be very handy to have on their estate at the least. When the spring came, she could plant vegetables and strawberries, perhaps ask after some fruit trees to see them through the winter months. She wasn't such a green fingered person but they needed some way of sustaining them through the next winter.
