She heard the chanting and had to laugh at how their little boy was growing more and more into his own personality every day. Part of her wondered if this is who Steve would have been if he had grown up as a normal child, healthy and in a happy home. She wouldn't trade her Steve for the world.
"Up and at them, lazy boys," she said, carrying the cups of coffee carefully. "Your daughter has made us pancakes and bacon and Stevie's eaten two already and Mouse is on her second. Best you get up if you want any breakfast," she said, setting the coffees down on the side table.
