Clint had hesitated a little bit about the shower. Tony was working to clean up the snow around the house so it'd be easier to keep up when they needed to go home, Maryanne and AJ off making sure there would be food for the others for the next few days. But he needed it, and needed to move around and the baby was sleeping. It still felt a little new, knowing he was her mother, but he hadn't managed any major mistakes with the triplets and they were left to sleep on their own all the time. Plus, the bathroom was only a few feet and a door away from her bassinet.
So he'd gone for his shower not long after a feeding, hoping the little one would sleep long enough for him to feel a little bit human again. He was still a little slow going but was a little bit proud that he'd managed to everything on his own and it had all gone okay. It was also a huge weight off. He was happy, relaxed, calm, just spending time with his daughter and his family, despite the chaos around them. It took him a minute to hear the cry without his hearing aides in, poking his head out of the shower once he thought he knew the sound and turning the water off once he realized it was her. He grabbed his hearing aides first, then a towel, his movements faltering a little bit when the cried suddenly stopped. Everything seemed to speed up and he was dashing toward the door.
