Peggy had fended off the idea of leaving her children with their fathers for the shopping trip; some people would have called it chaos but to Peggy, seeing her children's eyes light up as they picked up things for themselves and even presents for other people helped to teach them about the value of what they were receiving. She had to get Steve and Bucky presents too so she thought if she could let the kids pick, she'd earn some cuteness points at the least.
Going with Izzy was just the cherry on top of the sundae. Her friend had no end of good ideas and was helpful to wrangle all the kids together like a cattle rustler. Perhaps that was a bad analogy but she liked it all the same.
"Oh it's my pleasure. My house is rather too manly at times, all that testosterone in the air. Mouse isn't really old enough to understand it yet, but we're outnumbered..." she smiled, "Plus, I felt like I haven't seen you in ages really. How are you doing?" she asked, holding into Mouse's baby reigns as she perused a bin of dog toys that squeaked.
