Tony had seen a couple of the ghosts himself. Fortunately he'd come across friendly ones. Jarvis seemed to want to resume his role as the family butler and Tony would have let him if his appearance weren't a bit zombie like. Though Jarvis hadn't hit him as hard as Yensin had. The man died so Tony could escape and it still haunted him. Seeing his old friend had brought tears to his eyes, but he'd recovered pretty quickly. The ghosts were perplexing, though. That, of course, brought Tony to the lab. He'd left a note on his pillow rather than hanging it on the fridge, and then made his way to the tower. There was a tiny little voice in his brain that was causing a little guilty pang for leaving the house, especially with Clint on bed rest, but he knew that they could handle it. Or that they would call him if they couldn't. He'd been at the computer for hours, having completely lost track of time and he was pretty sure he'd forgotten to eat as he scanned the island, trying to pick up traces of the ghosts. He remembered the previous experiments with Annie and smiled. "Friday, pull up file ASG021813. Use those findings as parameters for scanning for the other ghosts." "Of course, sir." Friday replied. Tony just sighed. Why hadn't he thought of it earlier? He ran his fingers through his hair before scratching at his chin. "Anything?" "Not yet, sir." Tony started typing, trying to help speed things along, or so he thought. "I can do this much more quickly on my own, Mister Stark." Friday sounded a bit irritated. "Alright, I get it." He just sat back in his chair and crossed his arms, watching the screen as Friday worked. There were times when he missed Jarvis. |
