Blue eyes finding her face, Thor let her see into the agony. "I know," Thor agreed with a nod. "I know it is not my mother, but I..." He didn't even know what he was saying anymore. He was beyond exhausted with a burden not his to drag shackled round his wrists and ankles like ball and chain. He knew only if Loki were to see her he would be devastated, their mother or no, and he did not wish Katherine to have any such impressions of her.
