Tony had been right, not that she ever doubted the power of her Aunt's pies. She'd had two slices already, and the headache was a thing of the past. She was still tired, but she had been trying to get back, to the time she had left or as close to it as she could get, for almost a week. The gadget she used was stowed away in her pocket.
When the bell rang she was up out of her seat. Turning to face it quick enough that she nearly toppled over, and had to grab the chair for balance.
God he was a sight for sore eyes. But she couldn't resist the light giggle at the adorable picture he made with their daughter strapped to his chest. "I can see why the girls couldn't wait until I'd been gone a while. You're too cute for words."
