Sookie shook her head again at his questioning. She could feel that he held power, but the aura was too different. His thoughts were crystal cut glass and not muddled by outside thoughts, like he was compelling her to only listen to him. She could feel it too, his powers (whatever those were) weren't made of sunlight as hers were. "We aren't the same kind of Fae, no," she replied. "We're like magnetic poles. Same poles repel each other, opposites attract. For some reason, I want to run away from you as far as my legs can carry me..." she ended on a whisper.
Then she realised what it was that she recognised in his eyes. It wasn't sunlight, as her powers came from, it was just darkness. "Congratulations, your highness, it seems we're both alone."
