This was not his castle. It was not his comfortable chair shimmering in the darkness of the halls covered in plush, luxurious velvet. It was not the grand room in which he entertained members of his Court. It was a forest and yet it was no forest belonging to any Court he had ever visited--of which he had been to them all. So, where was it? How did he get here? The tall, inhuman man closed his eyes and looked within himself. He could not recall magic pulling him around, gripping him and ripping him away. So, what brought him here?

Hmph.

Rhysand's nostril's flared with a huff as he got up off of the cool wood's floor, a hand passing over his thigh and rear to brush away the leaves, dirt, and debris that clung to his rich clothing. He was like ink, somewhere between black and blue, save for his pale skin and bright eyes. Gaze passing around he found nothing of immediate harm, no animal or wild fae to attack. Birds, mostly. There was some creature off to his right that he chose to avoid, something hunting for a meal. It would regret choosing the High Lord. Rhysand allowed himself another moment to look outwardly, though his eyes were closed, and he opened his ears and mind to hear the world. A city was near and yet after a tilt of his head and the opening of his blue-violet eyes he noticed someone else was nearer.

Crunch. Crunch. His footsteps carried him through the wood in the direction of another presence. Was it Feyre? How could she be in trouble again? Only a week before had he seen her! If this were some trick she would be quite sorry.
