Adele's life had become a jumble of confusing and negative emotions. Her father had chosen to detox in one of the hardest ways possible and had made the decision without her. It seemed as if her feelings didn't matter to her parents, Uncle Jake or anyone else. It had driven her to leave her home and hide away in one of the empty apartments.
As angry as she was, she was worried too. She had barely slept, hadn't eaten and had obsessively read about every possible complication of alcohol withdrawal. She had even taken to cutting herself as a distraction from imagining what her father was suffering through. It didn't help that she was still having difficulty controlling her fairy abilities. She could hear other people's thoughts clearly; they had such normal, happy lives while her world was falling apart, or they worried about the most trivial things. The voices from the other apartments became too much and she ran outside, wandering aimlessly until she reached the park.
Adele stopped and watched Micha. She respected the Jedi and their abilities. Their thoughts never jumped out at her in the way that other people's thoughts did. She wished she could ask Micha to help her Dad and heal his addiction. Or at least use some Jedi mind trick to make the withdrawal easier and make him not crave the alcohol as much when he came home. The option had been taken away, but maybe she could ask Micha to help her deal with her own issues, especially controlling her telepathy.
She approached Micha slowly, hoping she wouldn't be a bother. She was fairly certain Micha was from the future too and would remember her. "Hi. You know me, right? I'm Adele."
