Once his hangover had started to subside, Alexis had definitely started to consider the possibility that this Max character was actually just some mad junkie and there was no reason to believe a word she said. But after having a bit of a look around, and coming across nothing that remotely resembled public transport or cabs, he eventually stumbled upon the pub she had been talking about. Okay, so maybe there would be a working phone, or at least someone a little less crazy in there who could explain things a bit better.

So, in he went to the alarmingly quiet boozer, knowing instantly by the decor that he was wildly out of place. He was wearing spats, for God's sake. And a waistcoat over a woman's striped t-shirt. He didn't have a mirror, but he was sure his eye makeup was now smudged as hell, and he attracted glitter the way a pet-owner attracted fur.

He sighed a little reluctantly, and then approached the bar, peering about looking for an actual bartender.
