She was content to keep the horse occupied while Bohannon got his bearings, and let the reality of his new situation sink in just a little more. Virginia had missed the presence of horses, anyway. She kept an eye on him when he wandered, but her attention swung mostly to the animal in her temporary care. He was still agitated, but slowly acclimating- a sign of a good companion-mount.
"You're a fine boy," she muttered to the house, softly stroking up his brow, under an ear, and smoothed down his throat, her other hand firmly curled around the reins. The desire for a long ride called in the back of her mind, but she stifled it for now, merely content to bond with the horse while she had the opportunity.
