There was a moment that passed between them and Luna was not judging Katherine. It was a soft and comfortable moment in which the princess had her own wisdom. It was often a strange but pleasing experience for Luna and those who viewed her. She and her sister, anypony really, could be quite funny and free. Then they took on their role as ruler, guide, and mentor.
"Perhaps we are not meant to fit in," she said. "It is our uniqueness that defines us. My speech and being lost in time, having missed one thousand years, does not mean I want to fit in with the day to day hum. However, I do want to resonate with my ponies on a level that I could not have if I did not try to understand Today when I was living in Yesterday." Luna smiled brightly and took a sip of her tea.
