Abigail knew Papa was there. She couldn't make out the voices, but she'd heard the familiar knock at the door. She had fought the urge to run downstairs, wanting to get her look just right first. It had been a few days since she'd dressed up for dinner. She'd chosen a navy blue sundress and paired it with a fuchsia scarf tied tightly to hide her scar.
As she checked her hair in the mirror, she could feel her kitten rubbing against her legs. "Hey Raf." She murmured, petting her gently and then picking up a toy she'd made. It was a simple ball with a string tied around it. She pulled the string, letting the ball trail along the floor. Rafiya hid under the bed, only to pounce on a it a few seconds later. The kitten scampered off while batting the ball between her paws. Abigail chuckled, knowing it would keep the kitten occupied. "Have fun, fierce hunter." She made her way down the stairs and over to her two father figures, giving them both a smile. "Hi"
