"Hockey is a sport played on the ice. It's really fun. I could teach you sometime. If there's no ice, we can play street hockey." Lacey hoped he would enjoy it. It could almost be the island version of Canada versus Russia.
"My Aunt Ruby owned a restaurant in Dog River. She passed away and left it to me in her will. At the time, I was engaged to a man I didn't love and I felt trapped. Moving to Dog River and running the restaurant was an escape." Lacey explained. "And I started to love it there. It became my home, much more than Toronto ever was. I even changed the name of the restaurant to the Ruby Café."
