Jo wasn't completely sure what was going on but obviously it wasn't something good. She could hear it in Dean's voice. So she made her way to Mitchell's. She knew she wouldn't get much out of him right now but maybe she could later. And if she couldn't get it from him, maybe she could get it from her daughter. Her now 18 year old daughter who was just seven years old a few moments ago. This place could really mess with your head. As soon as she walked in and saw Dean sitting at the bar, she wanted to go over and hug him and kiss his neck and tell him everything would be okay. She just wanted to make him feel better. One of the things she was really good at, though, was reading Dean's body language and she could tell that doing what she wanted wouldn't exactly be welcome. So she filed those feelings away and walked over, moving behind the bar to get herself a beer. She stayed on the opposite side of the bar, not wanting to bother him too much. She hated it, but it was what he needed right then. "Only have one question and then we can talk about whatever it is you want to talk about." She said as she opened the beer. "You said things are bad. On a scale of one to ten, how bad?" That's all she wanted for now. All the information she figured she'd get out of him. It'd have to be enough until he was willing to open up a bit more. She held her beer in her left hand and the gold ring on her finger glinted a little in the light as she took a drink, her right hand resting on the bar. |
