"Well, watch. Mouse." The dog turned to look at her. "Are my shoes matching today?" The great beast glanced at her feet, which the shoes didn't match at all, one was purple, the other was bright yellow. He wined softly and placed a paw on the yellow one. "See? I knew I'd made the mistake earlier I just didn't have the energy to try again." Sarah turned her attention back to the dog. "are they at least on the right feet?" That she wasn't sure of but Mouse gave an affirmative bark. "I've had dogs all my life, my Dad and Uncle have a special place for four legged children. He understands differently than they do."
