It had been nice so far, being in this place. A little weird, but nice. She had Dean here, and apparently a granddaughter who was a lovely young woman. She missed John and she missed the little boys that were at home, but she wasn't alone and that's what counted. Mary went into the kitchen and looked around, deciding to make some pancakes and eggs. There wasn't any bacon which she'd have to change later and had a feeling Dean would pout over when he found out. She smiled as she remembered the fit he threw when, just two years old, he was told he couldn't have any more bacon. Once she got everything she needed gathered together, she started the coffee, then started to cook. It didn't take her long to mix up the batter. John called it her famous pancake batter but it wasn't really anything special. Just a simple recipe her mom taught her. She hummed as she worked. None of the pancakes were actually round but she didn't care, they were still good. She hoped that the smell of coffee would wake Dean up soon and they could have breakfast together. |
