Bond had been drifting in and out of consciousness since he'd arrived back on the island; they seemed to have given him some pain medication that just knocked him out, which was probably for the best. When he was awake, breathing too deeply or moving even a little bit was agony. He didn't know exactly how much damage had been done, but it had been enough to have him radioing to be pulled out of the mission - which was a very, very rare occurence.
He slowly started to wake from his deep sleep, vaguely aware of a wetness on his face -
Wait, what was going on? Was something dripping- kissing? Was someone- licking him? He gasped, and woke properly with a start, heart racing away with the surprise. "What-?" he exclaimed, turning his head a little to the side to find.... what the fuck was a pug doing in the hospital? Why was it licking him?!
"Fuck, what the-?" he sat up as best he could, wiping at his face.
