Sookie still didn't recognise it, even as his words filtered into her brain. Beneath his home? "Oh... oh. Looks kinda different..." she said, turning faintly pink and smiling at the corners of her lips. "It looks nice down here though. I didn't think you'd like having a small kitchen." she commented, seeing the little set up he'd got going there.
The memories of the basement came flooding back in a rush as she looked up at the ceiling. Now she recognised it and, whilst she wasn't embarrassed, it was a curious mix of emotion: longing, happiness, nostalgia, excitement.
