If she'd had the big pony ears she was supposed to have, rather than these flimsy ones that didn't move but a hair, they would have perked up. As it was all she could do was lift her head. Applejack opened her mouth to start off smart, because it was a little obvious that he wasn't any of the girls. Or her big brother, he was far to funny looking. But then she reckoned she was a little funny looking herself, so instead she just settled for giving her name. "Hi, I'm Applejack."
The fact that he was treating her like a skittish filly didn't escape her. While it was a little bizarre, she took the offered jacket, it wasn't too different from the things Rarity had concocted for her. She eased one arm into it followed by the other. It wasn't till that moment, when she felt his warmth left over in the jacket, that she realized just how chilled she had been without her fur. "Well, usually I don't get all gussied up unless I'm workin' in town. Or goin' to one of those big social events that Rarity goes on for weeks about, and insists on makin' somethin' fancy for the occasion." She pushed her hair out of her face. Anything more than her hat was considered gussied up, of course.
