“I think the idea of complacency makes me uncomfortable,” Wanda offered him a shrug as she lifted a hand to rest her chin between its fingers. “There was so much work to be done back on Earth. You said, yourself that the universe was in great danger of complete annihilation. Being at peace here while such a dire tide rises all around us does not sit well with me.”
“Besides,” Wanda added as an afterthought, “I have come to believe that when things seem too good to be true, they usually are.”
