"It is very lonely," Luna replied as she looked up at him once he made his way to the landing. "However, not quite as lonely as the moon," she told him with a motion to the sky. "I like it here, too. I...sometimes, I feel very useless, because I am no longer a ruler of a kingdom and I do not even need to use my magic on the moon. Yet, I quite like the people and this castle. I like spending time and playing magical games with you," she smiled at him sweetly. "I would not be allowed to go and make friends and spend time with people if I were back home."
She then laughed. "We do not have those things, either," Luna explained. "Equestria is a land of ponies and griffon and buffalo and dragons, many animals far and wide. There are no humans. Our magic takes care of many of the things that gets done here. Art, performance, is very important to us. My ponies are hard workers. There is no time to sit around and watch moving pictures. Mail is sent by pegasus, unless you are my sister, then it is sent by dragon flame. We have trains that take most pony from one town to another, and my sister and I travel by flying carriage pulled by pegasus. We have some gadgets...strange things scientific ponies play with. We have the weather factory! It makes the weather."
