Lydia grinned as she glanced down at Eddie, briefly so she wouldn't actually fall, then looked back to what she was doing. "You came over to help move furniture. Not hang lights. I can hang a string of lights."
A few more moments of fidgeting then she lowered her hands. "There," she said then started down the ladder.
Once she had her feet on the floor, for once she was bare foot and not in heels, she turned a smile to Eddie. "So, hi." She held up her hands. "Stay there." Then she jogged across the room to the light switches.
The main overheard were turned out then another switch was flipped and the string she just hung came to life. It lit the loft uniformly but with a softer light that made it almost seem warmer in here. Lydia looked pleased with herself.
