Who: Cas (dj), Sam (oe) and Caden
What: Meeting the boy from another place and time
Where: Cas' apartment
When: Friday
Rating: Low
Castiel couldn't have not responded to the child. The little one had come alone, looking for a father who wasn't there though Cas hadn't known that at first. As he talked to the boy he found there were far fewer degrees of separation that he expected. Sam as his father? Castiel was well aware of alternate timelines. Caden was clearly a product of one and Cas knew more of it that he wished to. He would never encourage a child to lie but he found the revelations Caden offered had him thinking. He knew it could happen here. He could be parted from Sam and his children and hearing of that reality had brought that worry to the fore. He supposed there were universes where it had already happened. He couldn't dwell on it. He was here with Sam and three children he adored. He could only live one life at a time and he was happy with the one he had.
He didn't really have any toys appropriate for a four-year-old but there was some chocolate he'd managed to get from the store. He wasn't big on it himself but he expected he could make chocolate chips from it.
He was oddly tense at the prospect at meeting this child in a way he wasn't about any other but he would do his best to ignore that. He was looking forward to meeting him too, he was engaging and Sam, he knew, would be an excellent father. He had it in him to be. His own had had issues with almost everyone in his life but he had never lost his beat with his children. Cas had never lost his faith in him after he saw his gentle hands with a small kitten between them. This Sam may have questions, though Cas was only well-versed in younger children he'd do his best to answer or just to listen if that was needed too. In the least Sam would find a new purpose and Caden would be safe for as long as this lasted.
Cas stood by the window and waited with his usual stillness.
