She grinned and squeezed his hand, pulling him a little as she hurried ahead. She was as calm as could be, and her earlier words weren't even on her mind. They'd been said, it was all good. And she did love him. In a very real way. She loved the part of him that he didn't show to everyone, the part of him that he was, even back home, just starting to show to her.
