Who: Tommy, JR, Lydia, Malia, Scott and Stiles Where: Their lofts What: Hooking up the electricity When: Sunday!
He'd spent ages going through all the wiring in the two lofts, making sure everything was safe, and then he'd checked over the fuse boxes as well, JR helping as and when he could, and everything was fine. He'd checked it with his tools, showing what he was doing to any of the residents of the two lofts that were interested in knowing how to do it, and he'd checked magically as well, all before any actual electricity was brought into the circuit. All that was left to do was the actual physical connecting of the lofts to the island's electricity supply and that was almost done.
He wasn't stopping the electricity from flowing, because he wasn't a skxawng and he knew better than to try and stop something from doing what it did naturally. Instead, it was... diverted. It didn't want to be, but Tommy's magic and willpower were stronger than the electricity and so the flow bypassed the junction box he was working on. He scowled with the concentration he needed to do such a thing, and he already had the beginnings of a headache from it, but he'd get some coffee and painkillers when he was done.
He got the cabling he needed for both lofts and then JR and him got to work quickly. Tommy pointed out where he needed the various wires to go and then they both held them in place, JR holding the main cables while Tommy nudged the wires into place with his magic and then fastened everything up as quickly as he could. "Get clear," he told his big brother as he started tidying things up, neatening connections and tightening screws before he closed his eyes and slowly removed the diversion. As the electricity hit the junction box, Tommy put his hand on it and checked all the circuits he'd created once more. Satisfied that nothing was going to short out or blow any fuses, he flicked the switch and stepped back.
Fingertips sparking, he absently bent down and put his hand on the ground to earth himself and get rid of any residual charge he might have built up, and then smiled up at JR. "I think that's it."
