Then he was lifting an apparatus out of his kit, a long item that looked like a spike, but with circuits all along it that beeped and blinked on and off as he got it close to the man. With a gentle touch, he stroked it across the area where the man was most grievously hurt, and pressed the central red button.
With a louder hum, the wounds began to close, and the damage began to fade. It would take some minutes for it to completely work, however...
