"They're still pretty cool, though. Never thought I'd be reading from a recommended list from my favourite author," she admitted, though she hid behind a teasing tone. Abi flicked through one of the books with a wide smile on her face before setting them carefully down on her reading table.
Laughing, she went over to her liquor cabinet and pulled down a couple of glasses, shaking her head. "Anna Karenina is basically about fucking the people you're not allowed to, from what I hear. I can imagine I'm going to love it, though," she dug into her bottles of alcohol to figure out what she had.
She didn't notice him staring at her or her dress. In fact, he hadn't said how she looked at all and she tried to ignore that feeling. "Uhh.. I have scotch, whiskey or a bottle of old Kentucky bourbon?" she asked, "Or I do have some green apple vodka. If you're into that kinda thing," Abi smiled warmly at him. He seemed a little distracted though and she wasn't sure why.
