So many complaints lately! Though, Discord knew humanity--well, ponies--and it was all complaints. Boo hoo; my job is awful. Wah; I'm sick. Oh no, my loved ones are gone.

The man talked to himself as he wandered the city looking for something to do. Surely, he looked a bit like a crazy person with his quiet muttering. Of course, he was a bit crazy in general. He was Discord, strange being spliced together and thus physically chaotic as well as in his powers and mind set.
Now he did not look like that. He looked whole and, in his opinion, quite handsome for a human. This thing they have known as the internet had been quite the treasure trove of information and after spending some time reading he fully understood the laws of this world, their otherwise lack of magic, and even some of his own origins.
Of course he would Google himself.
As Discord came upon the mother and child and paused to watch some feet away, hands shoved into his warm wool jacket pockets. He was dressed simply but well, though the garment pieces themselves did not match.
"Good afternoon," he finally called out after the girl had run from mommy to go sled.
