Rarity wouldn't have even cared if Applejack got batter and food all over her outfit anymore in their hug. She embraced her friend so tightly in return as she felt weak and suddenly out of breath. Be strong. Her lungs filled with air slowly as she nodded in reply. Who knows what she was nodding about. The size? The tour? Taste testing? The apology? It didn't even matter. Rarity just hugged her old friend and took another deep breath.
"I came to tell you something, darling," she said. It wasn't as if this was going to be the biggest of surprises considering their last conversation in which Applejack had told her to go to the tower for the test. Still, a part of her wished she didn't have to have it, to say it. Rarity was happy and sad, she didn't know how to feel right now, and every day that edged on was another day of limbo-feelings. In a week it would be her one year anniversary. She hadn't even spent a year with the man, either. Only a few months but according to her calendar is was almost March.
"I'm pregnant. He's gone and I'm pregnant." Rarity sighed again, though she didn't cry. She was out of tears.
