At the knock Rarity tilt her head back, looking toward the front of her home from where she lay. Someone was here? Who? It took the unicorn-therian time to recognize the voice in her devastated daze. Oh, it was Peggy! She twitched slightly as the back of her mind told her to get up, go get the door, see a friend. They hadn't met much but they did have that shopping day with Izzy and Rarity had liked Peggy then.
Get up....
Get up!
A hand wiped at her face, smearing the run makeup monstrously. Still she lay there, sniffing back the ick of tears and running nose...get up. Get up. Get up.
The door was not locked to Peggy if she tried the handle. Rarity made a sound but it was weak, voice hoarse and gone from her screaming and tears. Now she had to get up, has to get the door, because she couldn't even speak more than a whisper. "I'm here," her rasped murmur came and a hand touched her throat. Oh...what had she done? Slowly she managed to get up on the support of a hand. It was progress.
