Who: Abigail and Bedelia Where: Bedelia's office. Rating: Possibly high for mentions of a violent nightmare. Open: No
Abigail had thought the nightmares were over. She'd placed pictures that would bring up fond memories near her bed - photos of Cambridge, feeding the reindeer, her friends on the island, her Papa. All positive experiences to replace the traumatic ones in her mind. It had worked for a while. Thoughts of a real education instead of simply being used as bait on campus, reindeer antlers instead of antler racks in her dad's cabin, friends instead of targets, a father with genuine paternal love instead of her dad's twisted version of love. But then the nightmares came back. She was reluctant to discuss them with her Papa, worried that he'd be disappointed that she still thought about her real dad. Bedelia felt like a safe choice for a confidant. She's been there for Abigail in Cambridge and she was a trained psychiatrist too. Maybe the hypnosis would work. And even if it didn't, opening up to someone might make her feel better. She arrived at Bedelia's office and knocked gently on the door.
