It hadn't taken Kytana long to reach the thermal bath. She had left behind Jedi garb, and sabers. There was no losing her touch with the force, and she wouldn't have tried if she could have. She simply wanted to be as normal as she could have been.

She wasn't big enough to show much in the dress she wore, but it was more comfortable than anything she owned. And she hoped it was okay for their walk. She placed the call out to him, after she stood for a moment, taking in the evening. "I'm here."

He answered her call only to hear her voice then promptly hung up. Her white dress glowed in the distance and he spotted her immediately. With a careful few steps, House approached her. There was no use in sneaking up, especially not with his cane and limp. Besides, House was sure that with some sort of power or sense, Kytana would catch him before he would even have a chance. "You know, when you dress like that, it makes it very hard for me to think straight."

	Kytana chuckled when she heard him. Turning to face House fully. "Perhaps that is why I do it." Cheek written clear in her tone, and there was no hiding it from her face. Her hand dropped down over her stomach, and it's slight dome shape. "Our daughter makes it difficult to wear anything else. I may have to find more dresses like this one." 	He smiled briefly, "They'll be more. It's called the maternity section." He stopped when he was close enough but didn't lean in for a kiss or take her hand. It felt as though any affection would cloud his mind and stop him from saying all he needed to. "So..." He poked the butt of his cane into the ground. "You're probably wondering why we're here." 	"I am very curious," Kytana teased lightly. She had to be honest she was a little nervous. But she did her best not to show. "I had thought perhaps this was a ruse so you would surprise me with a snowball or two." Though she wasn't sure he would actually do something so mischievous with her. "Yah, there's something not so right about belting a pregnant woman with snowballs. That's out there, even for me. But I'll get you after you pop the kid out." He grinned slightly. "You know, I hated Christmas." House confessed. "Had no reason to celebrate it. Had no one to celebrate it with. Even the hookers had family" He paused a moment, realising this was turning into a bit of a sob story. "I didn't want to celebrate it. My Mom gave up trying...I didn't want to play happy families. I wasn't invited round anywhere else really because I'm an ass. I'm a drug addict." He scratched the back of his head. "I'm selfish..." He looked at her and sighed. "But you. You come along and......." There was a slight tremble in his voice. He wanted to stop right there. “You need to realise that I’m going to screw up. That I’ll hurt you. We’ll argue…” He could picture Kytana leaving him just as Cuddy did. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a single diamoned ring/ It was quiet and subtle but carried more meaning than words could ever formulate.

Kytana stepped toward him. Smile on her face, ready to reassure him, that regardless that she wouldn't go anywhere. But her eyes dropped to his hand, and to the ring he clutched. Her jaw dropped, and her breath was all but stolen. Of all the things she had expected, this hadn't been it. And while she had been sheltered from a great deal in the Jedi Enclave she still knew what a ring like that represented.

It took a full moment for the shock to subside, and for her voice to come back to her. "I can do no more than give my word that no matter what transpires, no matter what we argue about, or however you perceive you've screwed up I will always stay by your side." Her smile returned as bright if not brighter than it had been. "Even if I storm off in a huff." Stepping forward she brought her hand, hoping it wasn't too chilled, up to his face fingers caressing that beloved scruff. "I love you Greg House. As I have never loved another."

Two years had felt like a life time and he simply didn't want to imagine being without her. His hand covered hers and he began to smile through the nerves. If only Wilson could see him now. House would never hear the end of it. "I'm giving you this ring..." He opened his palm up and showed her. "You can label it what you want. But what it is, is a reminder that I want you for as long as I live, and I want you to be mine." He cleared his throat and looked down at the ring. "You don't need to accept it." He shrugged. "It's just what I'm prepared to give you..." He looked at her. "Which is me."

"I think I can safely say I've been yours since the first time we met." Even if she had been with someone else at the time. "I think the saying is 'I felt lost' but that wouldn't be true. I felt found with you. I felt whole. I feel whole. So much so that I'm unsure that I've ever felt this solid before." She had to wonder if they were there, giving their vows to one another. Regardless Kytana brought her lips to his, only briefly. "I gladly accept you as you are and as much as you're willing to give, and hope you will keep me now that you know my grand secret." She teased lightly, sure that it wasn't a secret in the slightest.

She placed her left hand within reach, so that he could slide that symbolic ring over her finger, if he chose to do it.

House found himself grinning, he'd bagged himself one true beauty and for some reason, she really did love him. If that didn't give his ego a huge kiss then nothing ever would. Solving the most complicated case in the world might even struggle to compete. He slid his arm around her waist with his cane hanging off his fingers, and kissed her gently. In all the excitement, he hadn't realised just how cold it had been until he slid the ring onto where a wedding ring would sit. It fit perfectly but her fingers were cold. House kissed her once and gently rubbed her stomach. "Let's go back. I'm freezing you both for my own selfish performance." He raised his eyebrows. "Definitely sounds like something I'd do. Are you sure you want to keep wearing that ring?" House jested.

Kytana settled her hand over his with a smile that she was sure would never fade. "I've been to Hoth. This is nothing. And your performance was well worth a little bit of a chill." But none the less she would walk with him when he turned to go back to their home. "And I will never take this ring off... Well only if my fingers swell, would I even think about it. I read that they may do that during pregnancy." She frowned at the thought. Sure there was something to come up with so that she wouldn't have to.

	He smirked gently and kissed her lips. She was strong, much stronger than he was. But he hoped she could seek comfort in him as he did her. "Hoth? Pfffftt. You should try winter in Princeton."
