Rachel was still chuckling about Tim's reaction, even the next day. She really did miss talking to him and was glad that he seemed happy for her. Maybe his happiness would be contagious. Before leaving the house, she made up her mind to be in a good mood. That's really all it took, right? Making the conscious decision? She'd give it a test run, anyway. She felt a little bad about waiting so long to tell him but he'd had a lot going on the last couple of months. She dressed comfortable, not bothering to try to hide her ever growing belly anymore. There really wasn't a point. It was a little cool outside so she had a jacket to get to the diner. She picked the booth they always sat in when they were kids. She traced her fingers over the spot where, in her timeline, Sarah had drawn out some kind of scientific something on the wall. She wondered if that was still yet to come. She shook the thought away and ordered the two chocolate milkshakes with whipped cream and a cherry on top, then sat back and rested her hands on her belly as she waited for Tim to show up. |
