Already Maryanne was feeling good about the decision. The date. They're relationship started in a very unconventional way, so it was understandable that they'd not had one yet. Or it was to her. How many one night stands turned into something serious? How many led to the start of a family? She hadn't set out, that day, looking for anything permanent. But that was how it had worked itself out to be. And she couldn't be happier. She was also thoroughly convinced that all relationships should start that way. She felt absolutely no pressure for this to be perfect. They were already together. There was no need to impress, though she had gone to the trouble of dolling herself up. It was as much for herself as it was for the want to see the look in his eyes. She was going for classy with the shimmery gold halter top, and simple fitting dark denim blue jeans. Not wanting to be too dressy she added her 'lucky' rebel flag boots and Hat to the mix. She'd worn them that first night. And she couldn't count herself any luckier than she felt at the moment. Maryanne leaned against the passenger side of the orange truck she'd claimed as her own. She'd packed the bed with a mattress, a blanket, and a basket filled with goodies. She was aiming for a date she would have taken him on had she been back home. Had things remained normal. And had they met under those circumstances. Even if she wouldn't change a thing. It didn't mean she didn't want to treat him with some class. Or as classy as she could get anyway. Her gaze shifted up when she heard his footsteps. A smile spreading over her red painted lips. "I'm a real lucky girl." She purred. She meant it. She felt lucky that she had him. |
