Christmas on the Island
By Amelia, A Reader
Once upon a time, there was an island. And on this island were a lot of people who hadn’t been there before. They made the island a place that wasn’t lonely anymore. And this made the little girl very happy. So she wanted to make sure they were happy too! So to put people in the Christmas spirit, lights were strung up with care, with tinsel and holly.
Snow was fun to play in, and people didn’t have to worry about getting sick. And the stores were stocked, so they could go out and get presents, and so everybody could have a good Christmas dinner. And hot chocolate when they got through.
Stockings were hung with care. And Saint Nicolas could be seen everywhere. There was Dasher and Dancer, and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid, and Donner and Blitzen. And even the most famous reindeer of all, (Rudolph you sillies!) could be spotted here and there.
(Now don’t kill them you silly beans! They’re your friends.) Frosty the Snowman will play with you in the park if you ask nicely. And he wont even melt! He might even let you hit him with a snowball or two.
Don’t forget to check under the Christmas tree on Christmas Day! I think Santa is gonna leave everybody something underneath. Not the one in your house, but the real big one where that ugly old Spire used to be! And if you go sing carols around it you might see a nice surprise!
Merry Christmas Everybody!
