Who? Rob & Uhura
Where? Kinraddie
When? Monday morning, very early hours.
What? Memorial. Grieving.
Open? No
Rating? Medium... talk of war and violence etc.

Once he had the horses settled in their new steadings in Cambridge, Rob had headed back to the room of doors with the intention of going back to Trinidad and gathering up their belongings so that he and Uhura could move on to somewhere else fogless.

But then, two new doors caught his eye. Both to Scotland, and one... one to Kinraddie. 2016. Exactly 100 years since he had left the place behind.

Oh, he thought to ignore it, but it was only open for one day, and... it couldn't be for anyone else but him, could it? And he fought with himself, but it was an easy choice really. He pushed on through in a bit of a rush, suddenly finding the wind whipping up around him as he was confronted with the standing stones he knew so well. Except with one alteration. Dark grey lettering, carved into the largest of the stones.

FOR THE MEMORY OF
:CHARLES STRACHAN:
:JAMES LESLIE:
:ROBERT DUNCAN:
:EWAN TAVENDALE:
WHO WERE OF THIS LAND
AND FELL IN THE GREAT WAR
IN FRANCE: REVELATION II:28
FOR I WILL GIVE YOU THE MORNING STAR.

He stared at it for a moment, unable to tear his eyes away from the now weathered memorial stone, feeling strangely sick and dizzy. He'd known... he'd known that Scotty had saved him, but to see it there... and yet, what felt even worse were the other names. Not Chae. God, not Chae... and Ewan... he had been a coarse brute, but he would have left Chris a single parent.

Rob knew that Uhura would have followed him through, and he took a sharp breath, trying to put on his bravest face, taking a step back from the stone and looking out at the loch instead as he tried to compose himself.
