"Frawzo. Oe pänu," he replied, taking one last look around before the light from the flare faded completely. The fog hid more than it showed, though, and he couldn't see if either of them had left anything lying around. "If it gets worse, let me know?" he asked her, before the voices filled his ears yet again.
Once he was certain that she was ready to go, he started back in the direction he'd came. He knew the scents and trails in the forest, especially around the Raith place - he'd been over the area plenty of times in the run-up to Sarah's wedding, plus however many times he'd been there beforehand, which could only help when he was pretty much going on autopilot. The red light that he could see in the distance was confusing, especially given that it was in the way, but he kept moving towards it anyway. The terrain was tricky to begin with and he had to pick his way so that he wouldn't hurt Abigail more than he already was, but he'd soon get to a track that would let him run towards the city.
