"Like hell, Peg." Bucky kept his voice down as he eased the sleeping toddler down on the couch. Tugging one of the throws down off it's back to cover him up. He had readied himself the moment he'd learned of their plan, and was uniformed and ready to jump the moment he was needed. It was a plan he didn't like in the slightest. But he stuck to because he didn't want her left alone.
"I'll go to him. You stay with the kids." He wasn't booking any argument from either one of them. Blue eyes steely to be sure she, at least, knew he was serious. "Tell him no way I'm taking no for an answer either." He tugged his rosary out from his sleeve, and he was ready.
But he didn't step to the door, he moved over to her, placing a light kiss on Mouse's crown. Though the kiss Bucky gave Peggy, was almost desperate. As if he were using it to give him strength. But he didn't linger. "Stay safe. Don't come out."
