Nina Pickering ([info]pissing_jenga) wrote in [info]spinningcompass,
"I can't believe that's even a question." Nina quipped at once, her nose wrinkling lightly as it was poked. Pretty fish? But of course, pretty fish.

Nina smiled softly, with slightly sceptical sort of huff, Eve's eyes were a brilliant blue, like her dad's. "She's little genius." She noted, with a gentle nudge at George. Everyone probably said that about their own child, but Eve's development as far as Nina was concerned was staggering on a regular basis. "-Sweet." She could make a list, really. She fell silent a moment as she watched her, now twisting and spinning some oversized beads on a part of the jungle gym, happily occupied. Even so Nina knew George was watching Eve like a hawk, as was she.

"What, you always wanted to move to a bonkers Island with mist, and godly powers?" She knew what he meant, and despite her tease, Nina knew he deserved seriousness. "Before the wolf, before the train-- before here." She listed, a little solemnly as if these were continual road blocks to anything remotely normal, Eve only happened due to an accident. A wonderful, loved accident. Silently she was questioning if he was still wanting, this to do list.

"And, it- can't be the same here." Nina wasn't making a decided statement, or ending the conversation; more attempting to prompt him to go on, speak on what he truly wanted, even if part of her knew what he might say. A delighted squeal from Eve followed, jungle gym now abandoned and she animatedly implored her parents to go to the swings, clambering down to them excitedly.
