He wanted to believe that somehow his situation here - not knowing where he was, how he'd come to be here or having any memory of his life before - wasn't unique. That maybe it had happened to everyone here. But he couldn't quite accept that. That didn't seem right. But then.. what was?
He entered the apartment warily. This time he did look around, though he didn't know what he expected or what to expect from the other man now that he was here. He turned back around to face him and swallowed before asking one more question.
"Did you, ah, remember anything from before? When you ..woke up here?"
