Who: Abigail and Ty Where: The bakery What: A reunion of gods When: Tuesday Rating: High to be on the safe side? Open: Yupp, it's a public place after all Status: Gdoced / Unfinished
Ty had just wanted to see Sookie, just drop by the bakery for a quick visit, maybe grab a coffee and be on his way again. The last few days had been mad. People becoming gods - his own girlfriend a goddess. He could do with a less interesting day.
But Sookie wasn’t in. Instead he found Abigail behind the counter. He had seen her before at the bakery but never really talked to her beyond ‘hello’ and ‘how are you’. And he had certainly never experienced the feeling that he felt now.
Not with her.
The inside of his body ran cold. Colder than it usually did. Could it be…? He knew the answer to it. People had turned into gods. He shouldn't be too surprised. Fuck! His first impulse was to step out and shut the door again. He didn’t want this… he didn’t need this. But he couldn’t - he just stood there rooted to the spot, his eyes fixed on her.

Abigail had been in a strange mood. She hadn't bothered to cover up the scar on her throat, like she always used to. Her friendship with Hannibal no longer seemed as important as it used to, either. At least the bakery felt right. She'd put out a tray of black and white cookies in the counter display and that simple act was pleasing to her. There was something about the half-dark, half-light colours that made her feel content.
Her attention shifted when Ty walked in. Seeing him felt different too. He was more attractive then she remembered. She walked around the counter to be closer to him. She wanted to reach out and grab him to pull him even closer to her, but she couldn't put her finger on why. Locking eyes with him, she smiled. "Hello Ty. Sookie's not here, but I am." She stepped even closer, until there was only a tiny sliver of space between them. "Can I help you with anything?"
---
The moment Abigail stepped closer, Ty could feel the chill inside of him. He didn't need to ask, he knew who stood in front of him. Hel. "Yes, you need to step away from me," he said, his voice shaky and not as calm as it he wanted it to be. "In the storm... you got hit by lightning, didn't you?" Inform her about what she was and then get the hell out of the bakery, that was Ty's current plan. He couldn't mess up his relationship. He loved Shepard.
---
Moving away from him was the last thing Abigail wanted to do. She reached up, touching his arm lightly and she felt even colder. It was invigorating. "Is that really want you want?" She ran her fingers up his arm. "Yeah, the lightening hit me. Left me completely naked." She told him. "It actually felt good, but not as good as being around you."
---
"You need to stop this," Ty said, the firmness in his voice wavering. The cold in his body is telling him something different and he had a hard time not giving in. He tried to picture Shepard in front of his inner eye. He couldn't give in. "This isn't you and I have a girlfriend." He wasn't sure whether he was reminder her / informing her or himself.
---
"No, what I need is you." Abigail countered, although she wasn't sure why she needed him. She just did. She took a few steps back and walked in a circle, making a show of looking around. "Ty's girlfriend? Are you here? Come out, come out wherever you are. Olly olly oxen free." She called out in a mocking tone, before she moved back to standing directly in front of Ty. "She's not here. I am." She stated, deliberately ignoring what he said about her not being herself.
---
Yes, he knew. He knew that all too well. A voice in his head had already pointed it out. "This is a public plays. She could drop by any time." The sentence wasn't how he had wanted it to sound.
